In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we’ll highlight 10 players to consider adding to your team ahead of Matchday 29.
As a rule of thumb, we'll try to steer clear of the most obvious picks, instead focusing mainly on players who could offer great value as differentials.
Derrick Köhn, Union Berlin (Defender, 2.52M, 0%)
Köhn was among the recommendations in last week's edition of this article, and he delivered big, scoring 317 points. With Union facing Heidenheim and Wolfsburg in their next two matches, it’s definitely not too late to pick him up if you missed out last week.
Aurele Amenda, Eintracht Frankfurt (Defender, 4.62M, 3%)
Thanks to his knack for winning duels, Amenda has been incredibly consistent, averaging 261 points over his last five games, with 190 his lowest return in that span. With Frankfurt taking on crisis-hit Wolfsburg this weekend, he remains a strong option.
Maximilian Mittelstädt, Stuttgart (Defender, 19.88M, 13%)
One of the game’s highest-ceiling defenders, the attack-minded full-back has a favorable home fixture against Hamburger SV coming up.
Lennart Karl, FC Bayern (Midfielder, 4.3M, 7%)
Bayern are expected to rotate heavily against St. Pauli, with the game sandwiched between their Champions League quarter-finals against Real Madrid. Karl scored and assisted in last week’s 3-2 win over Freiburg and was benched against Real, making him extremely likely to start this weekend.
Jakub Kaminski, 1. FC Köln (Midfielder, 9.06M, 18%)
Kaminski stepped up again last week, helping Köln come back to draw 2-2 with Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring 288 points. With crucial relegation battles against Werder Bremen and St. Pauli ahead, the attacking midfielder could be key again.
Christoph Baumgartner, RB Leipzig (Midfielder, 16.05M, 39%)
Baumgartner is a true boom-or-bust option: three of his last eight games saw him get around 400 points, while the other five returned below 150. With Leipzig hosting struggling Gladbach, it definiely makes sense to keep faith in the Austrian international.
Alexis Claude-Maurice, Augsburg (Midfielder, 19.27M, 26%)
Augsburg are in poor form heading into Friday’s home game against Hoffenheim, but so are their opponents. Claude-Maurice is usually productive thanks to his attacking involvement, having returned 200+ points in five of his last six games.
Nicolas Jackson, FC Bayern (Striker, 8.71M, 0%)
With Kane unlikely to be risked from the start against St. Pauli, Jackson is expected to get a rare chance up front. At 0% ownership, he’s an excellent differential pick.
Romulo, RB Leipzig (Striker, 10.65M, 4%)
Many Fantasy managers already own one Leipzig striker in Yan Diomande, but Romulo is another option worth considering. The Brazilian forward scored and assisted last week, giving him a confidence boost ahead of Leipzig’s home game against Gladbach.
Deniz Undav, Stuttgart (Striker, 19.55M, 29%)
Undav’s purple patch ended with a disappointing 133-point return against Dortmund last week. With Stuttgart approaching a favourable home match against Hamburger SV, the German international has a good chance to bounce back.
