On a day marked by a tribute to Jorge Costa, who died a year ago, FC Porto continued preparations to host Alverca in the opening round of the 2026/27 Primeira Liga, with head coach Francesco Farioli calling up five B-team players to first-team training.

According to O Jogo, the call-ups were goalkeeper Gonçalo Ribeiro, defender Luís Gomes, midfielder Tiago Silva and forwards Duarte Cunha and Mame Niang, all from the B team.
