Following an impressive victory over Newcastle United, FC Barcelona now return to La Liga action. Their opening game in the UEFA Champions League went smoothly enough, but the focus is now on getting three points in the league.
Their opponents for this upcoming game will be Getafe, and this is not a side that Barça can afford to take lightly. Beyond just their typically frustrating tactics, they are also enjoying a good run of form right now. Moreover, the home side could potentially see some players be rotated as well.
In terms of their recent performances, the opposition has three wins and one loss from their first four La Liga games so far. Instead of struggling to get points, Getafe seems to be flying high in terms of getting as many as they can get their hands on.
Across those last four games, they have scored six goals and have conceded only one goal so far this season. Moreover, they are currently sitting in sixth place in La Liga, which is not a bad placement st all.
As for FC Barcelona, the Catalan giants are currently sitting in second place in the Spanish league. Still with a game to play, Barça is only behind Real Madrid in terms of their league stands and there is a five point difference between them right now that could be reduced to two if they manage to win against Getafe.

In terms of form, Hansi Flick’s side has three wins and one draw from their first four La Liga games and recently got a win in the UEFA Champions League as well. Specifically focusing on their league form, Barça has scored 13 goals so far and has conceded only three in return.
Still, irrespective of form or being favorites, the Catalan giants will aim for victory at the Estadi Johan Cruyff without getting overconfident. With three crucial points at stake, Hansi Flick’s side will be looking to go all out.
