FC Barcelona will be taking on Real Betis in their next fixture in La Liga, and it will be the final home outing of the season for Hansi Flick’s side. Moreover, a win in this game would mean that Barça would end the season with a perfect record at home.

Beyond that home record, this will also be Robert Lewandowski’s final game in front of the home supporters following the recent confirmation that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season. With that kind of motivation behind them, the team will really want to deliver a good result.

However, with Real Betis already having clinched a UEFA Champions League spot for themselves as well, neither Barça nor the visitors have any direct objective to play for. Yet, that is exactly why this could be a very fun game with both teams having nothing to lose or gain.

In terms of form, the visitors have been pretty hard to beat in recent games. With three wins and two draws in their last five games, Manuel Pellegrini’s side have showcased their quality and resilience. One of those games was against Real Madrid as well, and they managed to draw it at the death.

As for their goal difference, they have scored 11 goals and have conceded six goals in return. This clearly shows the quality of this team and highlights the fact that they can hurt just about anyone when they play their own game right.

Barcelona, on the other hand, have four wins and one loss in their last five games. The loss came in their recent outing against Deportivo Alaves, which took place right after the El Clasico fixture that confirmed the Catalan giants as this season’s La Liga champions.

In terms of goals scored and conceded, they managed to find the back of the net seven times and conceded just two goals in their last five games. For a team that has notoriously been questioned for having an extremely high defensive line, Hansi Flick’s system seems to be working great defensively as well.

With this being Lewandowski’s final appearance at the Camp Nou while representing Barcelona, a good performance from the team is expected. Anything short of that, and they might be ruining the farewell of a respected club legend at this point.
