Following the conclusion of the international break, FC Barcelona returns to action in La Liga. While they do not have a perfect record in the league anymore, this is a chance for La Blaugrana to get three points and stay in the title race.
After a draw against Rayo Vallecano in their last game, this is a match that Barça needs to get three points from. Interestingly, it is also the first home game of the season for the Catalan side.
This time around, however, they face off against Valencia. Currently sitting in 11th place in the La Liga table, this is an opposition that might not have a perfect record but they are still a side that Hansi Flick’s team cannot afford to underestimate.
In their first three league games, Valencia have managed to win once, draw once, and lose once. With four goals scored and two goals conceded, they currently have a positive goal difference of two goals and are clearly a side that can hurt Barça.

The Catalan giants, on the other hand, are undefeated so far in La Liga. However, they have not exactly been perfect either. With two wins and one draw from their first three games, Barça have earned a total of seven points so far.
This places them in fifth place in the La Liga table, and a win against Valencia will surely be the kind of motivation they need to improve their momentum moving forward. So far, Flick’s side has continued to showcase their scoring prowess with seven goals scored, and they have also conceded only three goals so far.
Unfortunately, however, this particular game will see Barça play without some of their best players. Lamine Yamal is set to be unavailable for this game, and the likes of Alejandro Balde, Frenkie de Jong, and Gavi seem certain to miss the clash as well.
