Francesco Farioli has rewarded the FC Porto squad with five and a half days off, with training to resume on Saturday afternoon.

The coach agreed the mini-break with the captains after the win in Braga. According to O Jogo, the decision follows a demanding March. The team posted four straight victories, one draw and one defeat, leaving the Taça de Portugal semi-final finely poised.

Similar extra time off has been granted at other points this season.

Only the injured, Diogo Costa, Nehuén Pérez, Rodrigo Mora, Samu and De Jong, will not receive as many days off.

This final pause of the campaign is designed to aid physical and mental recovery after a taxing run. International players are excluded.
