Milan picked up a 2-2 draw against Celtic in their first official pre-season friendly of the summer on Saturday afternoon, but there are concerns for new defender Mario Gila, who was forced off just 22 minutes into his first Rossoneri run-out.

Milan fell two goals behind in the first half of their pre-season friendly at Celtic Park, but were rescued thanks to a brace from teenage sensation Francesco Camarda, who netted both goals within seven minutes of his introduction.

The biggest concern for the Rossoneri after their friendly against Celtic is the injury that forced Gila off in the 67th minute. The 25-year-old centre-back only joined a fortnight ago, signing from Lazio at a cost of €25m plus €5m in bonuses. This was his first official run-out in red and black.

According to initial reports from the Corriere dello Sport, Gila felt discomfort in the quadriceps of his right leg and asked to be taken off as a result. He was replaced by 18-year-old Valeri Vladimirov.

Ruben Amorim has already hushed concerns regarding Gila’s injury: He felt something, but I don’t think it’s anything serious. I hope and think he will recover soon,” the recently-appointed Rossoneri coach said after full-time (via Corriere dello Sport).
