Federico Valverde has been diagnosed with a head injury and will rest for between 10 and 14 days after a violent training-ground altercation with Aurélien Tchouaméni on Thursday.
The club said in a statement that medical tests conducted on Thursday confirmed the injury.

Valverde is at home in good condition and must follow medical protocols that require rest for 10 to 14 days.
The update came minutes after the club opened disciplinary proceedings against both Valverde and Tchouaméni.
The incident occurred during a morning session at the Valdebebas training centre.
