Fenerbahçe have opened a push to sign Jadon Sancho, who is on loan at Aston Villa from Manchester United, according to Turkish-Football.com. The move is said to be driven by new coach Domenico Tedesco’s request for pace out wide.

Club president Sadettin Saran is working to strengthen the squad in line with that plan, with a wide forward the priority. Sancho, 25, is viewed as the top target and is said to want to leave Villa after reported issues with Unai Emery.

The report says Fenerbahçe have asked to meet his representatives and hope to bring the left winger to Istanbul in the winter window. Sancho remains under contract at United until June 2026. United are said to be open to a permanent exit, and Fenerbahçe aim for a reasonable fee, believing his readiness for a fresh start will help talks.

His Villa stint has yet to ignite, with only 13 appearances across the Europa League, Premier League and EFL Cup, totalling 529 minutes. He has not scored or assisted.

His lack of regular football since moving to United has also cost him his England place. His last appearance came in October 2021.

Sancho came through Watford and Manchester City before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2017 for €20.59 million. United paid €85 million four years later, a return that has not met expectations.
