Fenerbahce want to agree loan deal for struggling Man United star Antony by tonight | OneFootball

Following Amad Diallo’s emergence last season, Antony has found game-time hard to come by at Manchester United with the winger starting only 21 games in the 23/24 campaign.

This term, he has played for a solitary minute, emerging as a substitute in the defeat to Brighton and even being criticised for his role in the Seagulls’ late winner.

With Amad impressing and Alejandro Garnacho able to cover both flanks, the club had decided to move on Jadon Sancho during the summer window with INEOS also keen to offload the Brazilian.

Ten Hag had blocked his loan exit to Real Betis on deadline day but rumours of an exit have refused to die down with Turkish outlet Fotomac claiming Fenerbahce are dreaming of bringing him to the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium tonight.

Antony’s future

The Turkish window remains open and following Galatasaray’s blockbuster deal for Victor Osimhen, Fener need to respond and are eyeing the United forward to strengthen United boss Jose Mourinho’s attacking hand.

“Despite having right wingers like Cengiz Under, Irfan Can Kahveci, Oguz Aydin and Emre Mor in his squad, coach Jose Mourinho assigns Dusan Tadic to this area. The reason is; the Portuguese coach does not see these four names as direct 11 players.

“He even requested that Cengiz Under and Emre Mor be sent off and requested reinforcements to this area. The management, which continues its search, has put a star name on its agenda after Galatasaray’s Osimhen move.

“The name the yellow-navy team wants to add to their squad is Manchester United’s Brazilian star Antony. With this transfer, the management wants to both ease the backlash they received from Galatasaray’s fans after adding Osimhen to their squad and strengthen Mourinho’s hand.

“Antony is expected to be finalized by tonight. The loan negotiations continue for the samba player who has only played 1 minute in ManU this season.”

Fenerbahce want Antony tonight

The report revealed that the 24-year-old was previously a target for Gala as well but they could not pull off the deal. Now with Mourinho at the helm, more players are inclined to opt for Fenerbahce instead.

The deal will be an initial loan but details remain sketchy at this point. There is no mention of whether a loan fee is being included, the amount of wages being covered and whether there is any option or obligation to buy the player.

United fans will not mind if the club moves Antony on following last season’s horror show from the former Ajax star. He managed only one league goal in the entire season.

But Ten Hag remains keen on ensuring Antony eventually comes good and it will be interesting to see whether INEOS will overrule the boss.
