Juventus are reportedly eyeing Milan Skriniar as their primary defensive target for January, following the knee injury sustained by Gleison Bremer. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve view Skriniar, currently at Fenerbahçe, as the best bet to shore up the centre-back slot.

The Gazzetta article explains that Bremer’s injury opens a window for Juve to act, especially amid doubts over squad depth and injuries to Juan Cabal. The club now considers Skriniar’s profile — a player well acquainted with Serie A and proven at high levels — as ideal to step in. They see a realistic opportunity because Fenerbahçe signed him at Mourinho’s request, and with José no longer there, Skriniar’s position may be less stable.

However, complications remain. Juventus would need to negotiate a compensation package acceptable to Fenerbahçe, and Skriniar’s salary demands and role would have to align with Juve’s financial structure. Still, Gazzetta suggests it’s now more than just a name — it’s a primary plan.

If the move materialises, Skriniar would be the centre-back headline grab to offset the blow of losing Bremer midseason.
