Fer Niño ‘to join’ Elche as Burgos talks progress | OneFootball

Elche are moving for Burgos striker Fer Niño as Martín Anselmi oversees a rebuild for their second straight LaLiga EA Sports campaign. The club have asked Burgos for terms and both sides are working towards an agreement.

Deporte COPE Elche reports that the deal is close and says Fer Niño will be in Elche colours in the coming days.

Elche have lost firepower with Rafa Mir and Álvaro Rodríguez returning to their parent clubs after combining for 15 goals last season. The Uruguayan has joined Bournemouth, while Rafa Mir remains at Sevilla with his future still to be decided.

André da Silva has also departed as a free agent, removing another 10 goals from last season. Elche need to replace those numbers after a summer of exits.

Fer Niño, formerly of Villarreal and Mallorca, played 39 games for Burgos last season and scored 7. He has 18 goals across two campaigns at El Plantío.
