Corinthians head coach Fernando Diniz has been acquitted by the STJD over a slap to the arm of Athletico midfielder Jadson in the 21st round of the Campeonato Brasileiro last Thursday.

According to Globo.com, the STJD's second disciplinary commission ruled on Tuesday that the incident, for which Diniz received a yellow card amid a touchline altercation, had already been addressed by the on-field sanction.

Rapporteur Ana Luiza Ralil said the complaint tried to treat an earlier slap as a separate act, but the sequence showed a single, brief action within the same melee without firm evidence of independent hostile conduct.

She assessed the contact as low intensity, directed at the player’s arm, causing no injury or significant potential harm, and said the available evidence supports it as an immediate reaction to contact and an attempt to push the opponent’s arm away.

The other judges followed her view, and Diniz was cleared unanimously.
