Ferroviário have signed left-back Pablo Maldini, a Flamengo academy graduate, ahead of their 2026 campaign in Série D.

Ferroviário SAF said in a statement that the 25-year-old left-back has joined the club.

Maldini has agreed a deal for this season, making him available for the state championship and all fixtures. The fourth tier is among the club’s priorities in 2026.

He came through Flamengo’s youth ranks and was part of the Copinha-winning squad in 2018. He also lifted the Brasileirão under-20 title before being sold to FC Telavi in Georgia without a senior debut.

His career includes spells at Estoril Praia and Trofense in Portugal and Boavista-RJ. In 2024 he featured for América-RJ in a squad that included Romário.

Meanwhile, Flamengo’s under-20s face Volta Redonda on Saturday 17 in the second round of the Carioca, with kick-off at 21:30 Brasília time at Estádio Raulino de Oliveira.
