1908 reports that Feyenoord are unconcerned about losing Ayase Ueda in January, not even to Liverpool, who are said to be interested after Alexander Isak broke his leg, and that a deal is highly unlikely. The outlet adds that the club will not entertain a sale while they sit second in the Eredivisie and chase UEFA Champions League qualification.

TEAMtalk claims Leeds are tracking the Japan international, who has scored 18 goals in 17 Eredivisie appearances this season, and is valued at around €10m (£9m).

Leeds are pursuing striking reinforcements this winter. Talks have been held over Ruben Vargas of Sevilla and Tyrique George at Chelsea is under consideration. Raheem Sterling is also being monitored, with Enzo Maresca having completely frozen him out.

Elsewhere in the division, AZ Alkmaar sit 10 points behind Feyenoord and have been boosted by Troy Parrott’s form. The Republic of Ireland forward has 16 goals in 22 appearances in what has been an outstanding campaign.

Leeds are tracking Parrott as an option this winter. Crucially, there has been no update akin to Ueda’s situation to dissuade the 49ers ownership from making a move.
