AC Milan are preparing to face Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League playoffs tonight at 21:00 CET at the de Kuip in Rotterdam. We are at a crucial moment in the competition, the first of two games to decide who will go through to the knockout phase, with the teams ready to give their all. Let us approach the kick-off with our Match Preview.

LATEST FROM MILANELLO AC Milan are coming off the back of a convincing 2-0 win against Empoli in Serie A, showing good form and adding to the string of positive results they've been getting. In the Champions League, the Rossoneri have put the Zagreb blunder behind them, although Conceição's team have shown determination and the ability to react. AC Milan will want to continue their European journey in the Champions League, and to do so they will need ambition and attention. Musah will not be available due to his suspension, an absence that will minimise midfield rotation, former Feyenoord player Giménez is likely to start in midfield, and Terracciano is a possible alternative to the ‘heavy’ attack.

The Coach had this to say on the eve: "We don't have many options: there are 15 outfield players available, between injuries and those not in the Champions League squad, plus the youngsters. The coaches have to find solutions. It's important, and we're here because of our own fault - we could already be in the Round of 16. We want to take responsibility for this."

LATEST FROM FEYENOORD Feyenoord come into the game on the back of a 3-0 Eredivisie win over Sparta Rotterdam, and have been putting in some solid performances in the league. The Dutch side suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat to Lille on the final matchday of the Champions League. Despite this, Feyenoord have shown they are capable of great performances, as evidenced by their 3-0 win over Bayern Munich. The team coached by Bosschaart, who has just taken over from Priske, is ready to give their all, also thanks to the home advantage. In the probable 4-3-3 formation, the main threats are Ueda, Paixão and Timber.

"It will certainly be very special", said Bosschaart. "I want the team to play attractive football and be united. I've found a group who are keen, and we've trained well. Preparations for AC Milan had already begun, and we're ready to implement what we did in training."
