Corinthians’ Fiel have overwhelmingly backed 31-year-old goalkeeper Lelê to remain for the 2027 season. According to Meu Timao, 91.7% in a poll favoured her staying, while 8.3% preferred her cycle to end in 2026.

Lelê has entered the final six months of her deal, meaning she can sign a pre-contract elsewhere and depart at year’s end.

She came close to leaving at the end of last year, then agreed a one-year renewal in December to extend her second spell. Her first stint at Parque São Jorge ran from 2016 to 2020.

After 2020 she moved to Benfica in Portugal, returning to Parque São Jorge early in 2022. Across both spells she has lifted 15 trophies, the most by any goalkeeper, male or female, at the club.

Since February 2024 she has battled a left ACL injury. She underwent surgery and returned, but later reported renewed pain and missed further matches.

From the start of 2024 to July 2026 she has played 29 games, the same number she managed in 2023 alone. This season she is competing for the starting spot with Nicole and youngsters Ana Morganti and Rillary.

The quartet are preparing for the season’s resumption after the World Cup pause. The next match is on Friday at 19:00 at Fazendinha against Ferroviária, in the fourth round of the Paulistão Feminino.
