FIFA has confirmed a record $727 million fund for federations at the 2026 World Cup.

The FIFA Council approved the distribution on Wednesday in Doha, on the sidelines of the PSG v Flamengo intercontinental final scheduled for 18:00.

The pot is 50% higher than in Qatar 2022, mirroring the expansion from 32 to 48 teams.

Each federation will receive at least $10.5 million, including $1.5 million for preparation, with sums increasing as teams advance.

The champions' federation will collect $50 million, or $51.5 million including preparation costs, worth nearly €44 million. Argentina earned $42 million for winning in 2022.

While ticket prices have angered supporters, which FIFA appears to have noted, the federations will not be short-changed.
