FIFA has ended its historic partnership with Panini after more than 50 years, with the 2030 World Cup sticker album set to be the company’s final under its banner.

According to SuperDepor.com, the split comes a little over a month before the 2026 tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and closes a relationship that began in 1970 when Panini took charge of producing and distributing the beloved stickers worldwide.

The separation follows the arrival of Fanatics, the US sports merchandising giant, which through its Topps subsidiary secured FIFA’s exclusive rights.

Fanatics offered a higher financial proposal and a business model focused on digital products and premium trading cards, which convinced FIFA to change course towards the 2034 World Cup.

Despite the setback, Panini remains active in football, retaining major licences including Copa América, the European Championship and domestic leagues such as Argentina’s Liga Profesional.
