Cabo Verde make their World Cup™ debut in the hardest possible manner, facing off against European champions Spain in a Group H clash in Atlanta.

Who is playing today? 👀

La Roja are among the favourites to win the whole tournament while the small island nation are just looking to make their mark on the world stage. Anything but a big Spain win would be a major surprise but for Cabo Verde, this is the greatest moment in their sporting history and one they will never forget.

Pedri and Rodri are the two players who make Luis de la Fuente's side tick and there is a huge chance they will do what they did two summers ago and dominate every midfield they face.

Rodri has battled back from a devastating knee injury to approach the levels that saw him win the Ballon d'Or while Pedri is coming off arguably his best season yet for Barcelona

With Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams likely to sit out as they continue their returns from injury, even more of the onus will be on Mikel Oyarzabal up front. That should not be an issue for the Real Sociedad striker, who has a stunning 12 goals from his last 12 outings for his country.

As for Cabo Verde, they will need every player to play the games of their lives to get a shock result. Captain and leading scorer Ryan Mendes, star defender Logan Costa and star striker Dailon Livramento will be vital.
