Who is playing today? 👀

Everything remains to play for in Group H as two of the section's leading contenders meet in a crucial final-round FIFA World Cup 26™ fixture.

Spain sit top of the group on four points after opening with a goalless draw against Cabo Verde before producing a stunning 4-0 victory over Saudi Arabia. Luis de la Fuente's side know that a win will guarantee first place in the group and a potentially more favourable route through the knockout stages.

Uruguay have two points after drawing 1-1 with Saudi Arabia and then sharing an entertaining 2-2 draw with Cabo Verde. Marcelo Bielsa's men remain unbeaten but know they may need a positive result here.

They will qualify for the knockout phase as Group H winners (and meet the Group J runners-up in the Round of 32 in Los Angeles on 2 July) if:

  • They defeat Spain, and Cabo Verde fail to beat Saudi Arabia.
  • They defeat Spain, Cabo Verde beat Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay finish above Cabo Verde on overall goal difference, or, if that is equal, overall number of goals scored, or, if that is equal, Fair Play ranking.

Bielsa's men will qualify for the knockout phase as Group H runners-up (and meet the Group J winners in the Round of 32 in Miami on 3 July) if:

  1. They defeat Spain, Cabo Verde beat Saudi Arabia, and Cabo Verde finish above Uruguay on overall goal difference, or, if that is equal, overall number of goals scored, or, if that is equal, Fair Play ranking.
  2. They draw with Spain, Cabo Verde draw against Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay finish above Cabo Verde on overall number of goals scored, or, if that is equal, Fair Play ranking.

For Spain, Lamine Yamal continues to light up the tournament with his fearless attacking play. The teenage sensation has already demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in world football and received an Attacking Score of 7.6 in the FIFA Power Ranking - powered by Aramco during the win against Saudi Arabia.

Alongside him, Pedri remains the metronome in midfield. His intelligence, movement and ability to dictate possession have been central to Spain's impressive performances, earning himself a Creativity Score of 6.9 against Saudi Arabia.

For Uruguay, Federico Valverde continues to set the standard. The Real Madrid man earned a Creativity Score of 7.1 during the match with Cabo Verde.

Darwin Núñez will also be hoping to make the difference. The powerful striker's pace and movement create constant problems for opposition defences but he will hoping to earn more than the Attacking Score of 5.1 he received against Cabo Verde.
