Filipe Luís to travel to Europe and assess options after Flamengo exit | OneFootball

Filipe Luís, dismissed by Flamengo in early March, will travel to Europe to plan his next steps.

According to Coluna Do Fla, he and agent Jorge Mendes will review potential projects in European football before choosing his next club, aiming to enter the market after the World Cup.

He does not yet hold a UEFA coaching licence, so he cannot take a job in Europe at present. Completing the course is also part of his plan to become eligible to lead a team there.

In the last transfer window, Chelsea sounded him out, but he stayed at Flamengo and the English club appointed Liam Rosenior instead.

Flamengo are now under Leonardo Jardim, who is preparing the side for the league trip to Bragantino on the second of April in the ninth round of the Brasileirão. Kick-off in Bragança Paulista is set for 21:30 Brasília time.
