Reportedly, Fiorentina are considering making Inter striker Arnautovic a last-minute signing for the January transfer window.

La Viola are targeting a striker in the final days of the window. Christian Kouame is set to leave to join Empoli, and so they want a replacement for the Ivorian as a backup to Moise Kean.

FCIN confirm that Marko Arnautovic is indeed a target for Fiorentina.

The Tuscan club see the Austrian international as having the quality and the Serie A experience to bolster their squad.

Therefore, Fiorentina are seriously considering a move in the last couple days of the transfer window.

However, FCIN note, La Viola have yet to make a formal approach for Marko Arnautovic.

The outlet report that Arnautovic himself would not necessarily turn down the move.

The former West Ham United and Stoke City has received some other offers since coming to Inter in 2023. But he has rejected them out of hand.

However, Arnautovic would consider a move to Fiorentina.

Meanwhile, Inter will not stand in the way of the Austrian leaving if he asks for the move to Fiorentina.

The Nerazzurri are hardly desperate to offload Arnautovic. The 35-year-old remains a reliable backup option in attack, and could certainly stick around for the remainder of the season.

Having already sent Tomas Palacios and Tajon Buchanan out on loan, Inter see their outgoing business as done for the January window.

But if Arnautovic hands in his transfer request, Inter won’t hold him against his will.

However, if Arnautovic does leave, FCIN report, the Nerazzurri will not look to replace the 35-year-old.

The outlet report that with Joaquin Correa having made a place for himself in the first team picture, Inter don’t feel it is necessary to have a fifth striker.

Therefore, there would be no last-minute emergency moves for a striker.

In any event, everything will depend on what Fiorentina decide. They will have to come forward with a serious proposal if they want Arnautovic.

Moreover, FCIN notes, La Viola would have to cover all of Arnautovic’s wages if they are to sign him.
