Leeds United could have Jack Harrison back this summer, with Fiorentina not minded to activate a £6m option to buy, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Harrison barely featured for Leeds before January, starting only once in the Premier League, a 1-0 loss at Burnley, and making 10 substitute appearances without a goal or assist. He then joined Fiorentina on a six-month loan that includes the purchase option.

In Florence the 29-year-old has played 13 times, starting seven, recording one assist in a 2-2 draw with Torino and no goals. The report adds that, as things stand, he would return to West Yorkshire.

Fiorentina are fighting relegation in Serie A, two places and two points clear of Lecce in the third drop spot with eight matches left. Survival would automatically trigger permanent clauses worth about €27m (£23.5m), tightening their summer budget and sharpening decisions on wide loanees.

Manor Solomon also arrived on loan in January and could be signed for around £8.7m. With two goals in 11 outings and if fitness worries ease, he is seen as the likelier keep. Harrison is set for a return to Leeds and has two years left on his Elland Road contract.
