Leeds United had five players named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year after being crowned league champions on the final day of the season.

Joel Piroe was named in the team after a prolific season in front of goal. The Dutchman netted 19 times for Daniel Farke’s side to take home the Golden Boot.

The performances of Leeds' Player of the Year, Daniel James, also didn’t go unnoticed, as he clocked up 12 goals and nine assists to propel the side back to the Premier League.

Jayden Bogle’s excellent debut season for Leeds was rewarded with a place in the top 11 after making 44 league appearances for the Whites.

Junior Firpo, now with Real Betis, was also included after providing four goals and ten assists from left-back.

The Leeds representation was completed by Japanese international Ao Tanaka. The ever-present midfielder racked up 45 appearances across all competitions during his first season in English football, chipping in with five goals.

The five Leeds players were joined by James Trafford (Burnley), CJ Egan-Riley (Burnley), Maxime Esteve (Burnley), Josh Brownhill (Burnley), Gustavo Hamer (Sheffield United), and Borja Sainz (Norwich).
