Flamengo extend academy pair Guilherme Gomes and Douglas Telles until 2028 | OneFootball

Flamengo have renewed the contracts of academy pair, midfielder Guilherme Gomes and forward Douglas Telles, until December 2028, according to Globo.com.

The new deals have been registered in the CBF system. Telles was previously tied down only until September this year, while Gomes had terms through December 2026.

Gomes, 20, is in his final youth season and started all five Libertadores Sub-20 matches. He joined Flamengo in 2021 and debuted for the senior side in November 2024, scoring in a 2-1 win over Cuiabá. He has 11 first team appearances, with five goals and three assists.

Telles, 18, also marked his senior debut with a goal in November 2025, a 5-1 victory over Sport. He has three goals in six first team games. Last year he was part of the side that won the Intercontinental, beating Barcelona at the Maracanã.

Medical tests advised against him playing at altitude, so he was not selected for the Libertadores Sub-20 in Quito, which sits 2,850 metres above sea level. Flamengo lost the title on penalties to Santiago Wanderers of Chile.
