Flamengo are negotiating a deal for Aiyran, the 17-year-old Cuiabá forward regarded as one of his generation’s standout prospects. According to Globo.com, the Rio club are favourites to reach an agreement and talks over terms are ongoing.

The move is not closed. The clubs have spoken for weeks and some obstacles still need resolving, though both sides view a potential transfer positively.

Other Série A sides have made enquiries about the teenager.

At 17 years, five months and 29 days, Aiyran became the youngest scorer in the club’s history when he sealed a 1-0 win against América-MG in Série B.

Born in São Gonçalo and raised in Barreto, Niterói, he started in futsal at seven before moving to the pitch. After a brief spell in Fluminense’s academy, he joined Botafogo at 12, finished as a top scorer, won the Taça Guanabara Sub-13 and stayed until the end of 2024.

Following his release, the forward spent time on trial at Flamengo. Before a planned return to Rio for further tests, he received a call from Thiago Aprigio, formerly Flamengo’s academy coordinator and now at Cuiabá, who arranged his switch in March 2025.
