Flamengo have four confirmed absences. Lucas Paquetá is recovering from oedema in his left thigh, Erick Pulgar has a right shoulder injury, Jorge Carrascal is suspended by the STJD, and De La Cruz has been rested because of the synthetic pitch.

Having rotated in the 2-1 win over Vitória in the first leg of the fifth phase of the Copa do Brasil, Jardim is expected to go full strength here. The probable XI is Rossi, Varela, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira, Alex Sandro, Evertton Araújo, Jorginho, Arrascaeta, Plata, Pedro and Bruno Henrique.

Flamengo are second in the league on 23 points and have a game in hand on leaders Palmeiras. Atlético-MG sit 12th with 14 points.
