Flamengo beat Botafogo 3-0 on Saturday 14, reconvened on Sunday 15, then paused preparations with a rest day on Monday 16 ahead of their next Brasileirão outing.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the squad trained on Sunday morning, starting at around 10:00 Brasília time, before head coach Leonardo Jardim granted the players Monday off.
It was the first scheduled break since 27 February, following their Recopa Sudamericana runners-up finish to Lanús, when Filipe Luís was still in charge.
Samuel Lino, Léo Pereira and Pedro scored in the derby win, which moved Flamengo to fifth in the table on 10 points after six rounds.
Attention now turns to the seventh round, with Remo visiting the Maracanã on Thursday 19 at 20:00 Brasília time.
The match will be shown exclusively on Premiere via pay-per-view.
