Flamengo taunted Chappell Roan on the club’s official English account, posting a graphic contrasting Jorginho’s haul with the singer’s Grammy as their dispute rumbled on.

According to Globo.com, the image listed the midfielder’s team and individual honours, including the Club World Cup, Copa Libertadores, Campeonato Brasileiro, Campeonato Carioca, Champions League, Europa League, European Championship, UEFA Super Cup, Derby das Américas and Challenge Cup, plus Europe’s best player for 2020/21.

The row followed Jorginho’s social post criticising Chappell Roan and her team over how his 11-year-old daughter was treated at a São Paulo hotel. He alleged a security guard confronted his wife and child at breakfast with aggressive language, accusing them of potential disrespect or harassment. He said his daughter, a fan, only looked at the singer as she passed, adding that without fans she would be nobody.

In a social media post, Chappell Roan offered her account. The person who approached the girl was not from her security team and she had not witnessed the exchange. She apologised to the mother and daughter, calling it unfair to assume bad intentions when no action was taken.

The American, 25, headlined day two of Lollapalooza Brasil. In 2025 she won Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards, ahead of Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Khruangbin, Raye, Shaboozey, Teddy Swims and Benson Boone.
