Flamengo midfielder Kaylane became the youngest player to feature for Brazil under head coach Arthur Elias, coming on in Tuesday’s friendly against the United States in Fortaleza.
The match was played at Arena Castelão, where the 17-year-old was introduced from the bench. According to Coluna Do Fla, the women’s national team are already using these friendlies as preparation for the 2027 World Cup.
Flamengo marked the moment on social media, highlighting that she is the youngest footballer to represent the Seleção during Elias’s tenure and describing it as a proud, historic achievement.
Elias has assembled a training camp featuring games with the United States, during which Kaylane has earned minutes and put down a marker. Her involvement could help her remain in future squads and continue her push for 2027.
The Women’s World Cup will be staged in Brazil from 24 June to 25 July 2027, with several states set to host fixtures. It will be the tournament’s first edition in South America.
