Sunderland are being linked with a trio of signings as Florent Ghisolfi shapes an ambitious summer rebuild.

TEAMtalk reports that Manchester City’s Rico Lewis is weighing up his future amid limited minutes, with the 21-year-old valued at about £44m and seeking regular football to protect his England ambitions despite a long-term deal last year. Sunderland are listed among admirers alongside Newcastle United, Everton, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Brighton. The same outlet adds that Sunderland are monitoring Blackburn Rovers defender Tom Atcheson, valued around £10m, with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle also tracking the 19-year-old.

Sport Witness says Sunderland’s long-standing interest in Almeria playmaker Sergio Arribas remains, with the 24-year-old valued at about £13m and still on the radar.

Sport Witness adds that Ghisolfi is viewed as a long-term admirer, and a move could be revisited as Sunderland look to add creativity in attack.

If Sunderland were to land Lewis, Atcheson and Arribas, the combined outlay would be about £67m, a potential statement under Ghisolfi as he reshapes the squad.
