Despite Cole Palmer's stellar performances for Chelsea last season, the two Confederations Cups, his direct contribution to the FIFA Club World Cup win over Paris Saint-Germain, and his direct nomination for the Ballon d'Or, the Englishman has failed to convince everyone of what he has to offer.
Despite all he has done, some former football stars, including some English names, believe that the Englishman is not sufficiently favoured to be one of the names worthy of gold. Former Tottenham player Darren Bent was not convinced that Palmer is worthy of winning the Ballon d'Or this season.
