As relayed earlier this week, Real Madrid are closely monitoring the situations of academy players who left the club this summer, and young Chema Andres tops that list by some distance.
The 20-year-old midfielder made a €3 million move to VfB Stuttgart in the summer and has enjoyed a strong start to life with his new club.
His performances, needless to say, have Real Madrid thanking themselves for adding a 50% sell-on clause and a buy-back option on his contract, for it is not ruled out that they activate it in the future.
Speaking to the media earlier today, the former Real Madrid star opened up about a potential return to the club and how he saw the option from a practical standpoint.
“Returning to Real Madrid? I think it is a bit too soon to talk about it,” Chema began, keeping his feet grounded and staying practical.

Chema then went on to add how it was indeed a dream he was working towards and how it would be a long road to eventually securing that position back.
“But obviously playing for Real Madrid is any player’s dream. I would like to return one day, but I am taking it step by step.”
The young midfielder has adapted well to German football and his performances on the field already speak volumes about his quality. He has brought dynamism to the midfield of Stuttgart and already has a goal and an assist to his name in the Bundesliga.
Real Madrid, needless to say, will remain alert to Chema’s situation and keep him on their radar for a potential return.
Given the competition already brewing in the team for places in midfield, however, Chema must do something extraordinary to demand a return home.
