Victor Ferraz, the former Santos right-back, has announced his retirement at 38, the player said in a post on social media.

He played for Santos from 2014 to 2019, making 259 appearances, scoring 11 goals and supplying 21 assists, and lifted the Paulistão in 2015 and 2016.

He has strong ties to the Baixada Santista, with two children born in the city. A dressing-room leader and occasional captain, he was nicknamed Meu Véi.

In his message, he said football had brought him great joy, that he felt fulfilled and was ready for his next challenge, sharing a video alongside the post.

In 2024, while playing in Paraguay, he watched Santos’ women, the Sereias da Vila, during the Libertadores.

Born in João Pessoa, Paraíba, he came through at several Brazilian clubs and turned professional at Iraty. His career also took in São José-RS, Águia de Marabá, Atlético-GO, Vila Nova, Bragantino, Coritiba, Grêmio, Náutico, Chapecoense, Tacuary in Paraguay and Serra Branca.
