Fosun’s 10 years at Wolves, five standout signings

A decade after Fosun's takeover, Wolves' signings lifted the club from the Championship to Europe.
As reported by ExpressAndStar.com, here are five standout additions from that 10-year spell.
Ruben Neves arrived from FC Porto for a club-record £15 million in 2017, driving promotion then shining in the Premier League. He helped Wolves reach the FA Cup semi-finals in 2019 and Europa League quarter-finals in 2020, became captain in 2022 and left for Al Hilal for £47 million in 2023.
Diogo Jota joined on loan from Atletico Madrid in 2017, signed permanently in 2018 and hit 17 league goals in the title season. He produced a January 2019 hat-trick in a 4-3 win over Leicester City and the FA Cup quarter-final winner against Manchester United. He moved to Liverpool in September 2020 for an initial £41 million before his death last year.
Raul Jimenez arrived on loan, set a club record with 13 Premier League goals in 2018-19, then 17 the next season after making his Benfica move permanent. He scored 27 in all competitions in that second year before a fractured skull in November 2020. After two more Wolves seasons and three at Fulham, he returned this summer.
Joao Moutinho cost £5 million from Monaco and exuded class across five seasons. He made 212 appearances, scored five goals, and was a bargain fans adored.
Matheus Cunha joined on loan, made permanent for a club-record £43 million. He hit a Chelsea hat-trick, then joined Manchester United for £62.5 million in 2025.
