Tomorrow is the big day – Chelsea take on Arsenal in the Premier League, and the hype is building nicely.
TransferMarkt just asked their fans to provide a “combined XI” of the two teams to see how balanced the game is likely to be. It has to be said, it works out pretty well for Chelsea with an almost even split. That shows how well we’re doing this season.

A Chelsea and Arsenal combined XI.
The stipulation for this was that it was made up of the players who are likely to start tomorrow, so the likes of Martin Odegaard and Cole Palmer aren’t included.
Arsenal have perhaps the best back 5 in football right now, but the quality of Chelsea’s full backs are acknowledged here by the fact that both Reece James and Marc Cucurella get into the team.
Ahead of them, the superb Moises Caicedo plays as a number 6, his rivalry with Declan Rice sorted by moving the England star to number 8.
Beyond Caicedo, however, there’s just one Chelsea player left. Ahead of Rice and Ebere Eze in midfield you’ve got a front 3 made up of former Blue Noni Madueke, Bukayo Saka, and playing in his occasional false 9 role… Pedro Neto.
He’s in great form this season, adding more goals and assists to his already impressive all round play. With our strikers currently struggling for goals, it feels likely he has an important role to play tomorrow.
Despite Chelsea’s good form going into the game, things aren’t totally in their favour – one stats site reckons Arsenal have 5 of the 10 most in form Premier League players in their team.
Cole Palmer is confirmed to be fit, and the prospect of him playing regularly with Estevao is now on the horizon… we couldn’t get much more excited.
