FPF sets Paulistão Feminino round four, Sereias to host Taubaté | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, the FPF has set dates for matchday four of the Paulistão Feminino, with Santos’ Sereias da Vila to host Taubaté at Vila Belmiro on 17 July, Friday, 21:00, live on Paulistão’s YouTube.

It will be Santos’ first outing after the competition pause. Their Brasileiro return is projected for 25 July, still to be confirmed by the CBF.

Marcelo Frigerio’s side have two points and sit seventh, after a 2-1 loss to Ferroviária, a 0-0 home draw with Palmeiras and a 2-2 draw at Corinthians. Analuyza scored against Ferroviária and again at Corinthians, with Carol Baiana also on target in the latter.

After Taubaté, they visit Red Bull Bragantino on 29 July, then São Paulo on 12 August, before hosting Mirassol on 26 August. Broadcasts are slated for SporTV, Record News, HBO Max, Cazé TV and Paulistão’s YouTube as listed.

The state tournament has a new format and will use VAR in every game, the first women’s competition in Brazil to do so. The first phase is a single round with seven rounds between May and August, with the top two advancing directly to the semi-finals.

Teams ranked third to sixth play two-legged ties on 18 and 22 November to complete the semi-final line-up. Semi-finals are set for 9 and 13 December, the final for 16 and 20 December.

The field features Santos, Taubaté, Corinthians, Ferroviária, Mirassol, Palmeiras, Red Bull Bragantino and São Paulo. Total payments reach R$ 3 million, with R$ 1.04 million to the champions. Santos are four-time winners, in 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2018.
