France reached the World Cup semi-finals with a 2-0 win over Morocco at Gillette Stadium, convinced by their quality yet clear there is more to come.

According to L'Équipe, Warren Zaïre-Emery said finally featuring and securing a last-four place will stay with him, while Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé enjoyed the moment. Mbappé also noted a third straight World Cup semi-final.

Focus now turns to Tuesday in Dallas against Spain or Belgium, with no preference and recovery the priority. Spain evokes the Euro 2024 semi-final loss, 1-2, Belgium the 2018 semi-final win, 1-0.

Dembélé highlighted scope to improve, citing greater efficiency, conceding fewer and a better press, expecting progress as the tournament deepens. Zaïre-Emery stressed focusing on themselves and fixing what was below par against Morocco.

France have three consecutive knockout clean sheets, while opponents have managed only four shots on target across those ties. Mike Maignan looks steadier after the 3-1 opener against Senegal, and Aurélien Tchouaméni has missed the last two matches.

Dembélé feels he is building rhythm yet insists there is more to come. Mbappé declined to call this the best France team, speaking instead of major potential and the need to win before any such judgment.

The captain added that potential alone does not win trophies and that France must still prove plenty to be seen as near-invincible. Set pieces and crossing remain areas to polish, and Adrien Rabiot felt opponents posed little threat when France ceded the ball.
