According to a report from Ouest-France, France are planning to resume playing their national team matches at the Stade de France from March 2026. Les Bleus are currently playing their matches at Paris Saint-Germain’s Parc des Princes because of an impasse that has developed in negotiations with the national stadium’s new owners.
Entertainment and events company, GL Évents, are the new owner of the former Olympic stadium. Previously, there has been no issues for the French Football Féderation (FFF) when it came to playing international games at the Stade de France. However, the FFF believe that the price demanded by the Lyon-based company is excessive.
Due to the inflated price, Les Bleus will be playing their matches at the home of Les Parisiens for the foreseeable future. Nevertheless, the French FA are hopeful that they will be able to reach an agreement with GL Évents that will allow them to play their matches at the Stade de France for the first international break of 2026.
