Fabrizio Romano reports that SC Freiburg are willing to significantly lower their asking price for right-back Kiliann Sildillia. After the Bundesliga outfit rejected a €4m bid for the 23-year-old, Eindhoven should soon be able to wrap up the transfer for around €6m. This constitutes half the price Freiburg demanded for the French youth international last summer.
The Breisgauer appear ready to cash in on Sildillia as he enters the final year of his contract. Freiburg’s re-acquisition of German right-back Philipp Treu this summer likely leaves Sildillia with fewer prospects for playing time anyway.
Freiburg themselves have not managed to conclude a sale this summer apart from a minor €400,000 deal to send defender Kenneth Schmidt to Fortuna Düsseldorf. The Schwarzwälder currently run an estimated €32.3m summer transfer deficit.
In other transfer news involving a Bundesliga player and the Dutch champions, Kicker notes that Eindhoven are set to wrap up the transfer of Bayer Leverkusen keeper Matěj Kovář very soon. Kicker reports that the Czech international is concluding his PSV medical today.
