Pierce Charles' transfer to Manchester City is set to pocket Sheffield Wednesday a hefty cash windfall.
Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Pierce Charles has been the subject of plenty of interest this summer, and he now looks set to complete a move away from Hillsborough.
The Northern Irishman has established himself as one of the most exciting young goalkeepers in the EFL over the last few years, with plenty of interest coming from clubs higher up the food chain.
Now Wednesday have been relegated to League One, it looked highly unlikely Charles would remain at the club beyond the summer, with teams such as Strasbourg and Rangers reportedly sniffing around him.
However, Premier League powerhouse and his former employer Manchester City are now set to land the young Owls keeper, with a deal said to be agreed last week.
With the deal to take Charles back to the Etihad Stadium seemingly progressing, a fresh report has now emerged revealing what the transfer fee for Sheffield Wednesday could look like.

New Owls owner David Storch has breathed new life back into the club despite a thoroughly miserable Championship campaign last season, which saw them suffer the earliest relegation in the history of the English second tier.
The American businessman has lifted the club out of administration and provided financial backing to ensure the Steel City side have a good chance at competing at the sharp end of League One this season.
Not only is the change in ownership providing Wednesday with a huge financial boost, but the sale of Charles will also see them pocket a tidy cash windfall, according to Joe Crann of The Wednesday Word.
Crann reported on Sunday morning that Man City will pay an initial £3m fee to the Owls, which is likely to rise to a minimum return of £5m, due to add-ons included in the deal.
However, the deal could also reportedly reach the £10m mark in the future, with other clauses inserted that mean Wednesday could still feel the financial boost from the sale years down the line.
Charles is set to be loaned out to a Championship club for the upcoming season once he completed his move to the Cityzens, meaning game time will be easier to come by for him.
The Yorkshire side's current record sale is Darko Kovacevic, who was sold to Real Sociedad in 1996 for just under £7m, which could be surpassed by Charles, should they pocket all the add-ons and clauses.

Following Crann's latest report, Sheffield Wednesday supporters took to X to share their views on the transfer fee they're set to receive for the sale of Charles.
One fan highlighted concerns over a reoccurring shoulder injury Charles suffered during his time at Hillsborough, and suggested Stevenage's Filip Marschall or QPR's Murphy Cooper as his replacement.
This supporter fired a dig at former owner Dejphon Chansiri, suggesting he would've sold Charles for far less.
Another was sad to see Charles move on, but hopes the fee will be used to reinforce the squad further.
This fan believes the move to Man City will set Charles back, as he won't feature often for the first team.
Another wished him well and was pleased with the profit that Wednesday will make, whilst also sharing the sentiment of going for Cooper or Marschall as a replacement.
Another was also sad to see Charles move on, but believed that the sale was good business overall.
This fan also shared a similar viewpoint, that the money Wednesday will pocket could go towards their squad rebuild.
