Fulham snatch late derby win over 10-man Chelsea | OneFootball

Chelsea’s struggles continued as Harry Wilson’s late goal secured a 2-1 victory for Fulham at Craven Cottage.

New head coach Liam Rosenior watched from the stands, not yet in charge, as Chelsea were reduced to ten men early on.

Marc Cucurella was sent off in the 22nd minute for a professional foul on Wilson, leaving Chelsea with a significant uphill task. The hosts took the lead after 55 minutes when Raul Jimenez rose to head home, only for Rory Delap to equalise from a corner rebound.

Wilson settled the game in the 81st minute, beating Jorrel Hato before volleying past Robert Sanchez to complete the comeback.

Chelsea had a number of opportunities to level again, including a late shot from Delap that was blocked and a header from Reece James that went narrowly wide, but were unable to break through Fulham’s defence.

The defeat leaves Chelsea in seventh place in the Premier League, while Fulham move level on points with them at 31 from 21 matches.
