Leeds United are monitoring a Premier League rival as Ipswich Town could suffer an early-summer setback if Kieran McKenna departs.
TalkSPORT reports that Fulham are eyeing McKenna, with Marco Silva looking set to join Benfica. McKenna is described as a top target and is said to be keen on the move.
The report adds that an £eight million release clause is being examined, and triggering it would allow him to leave Portman Road.
McKenna, 40, has led Ipswich to Championship promotion twice, either side of a 2024/25 relegation. His exit could come before a second attempt at Premier League survival.
Leeds finished 14th last season under Daniel Farke, but the second campaign at this level can be unforgiving. Expectations are set around survival again.
Losing McKenna would be a major blow for Ipswich as they prepare for top-flight football. Newly-promoted sides still face a significant gap, despite positive survival signs from Leeds and Sunderland last season.
