London derby as Premier League returns from international break
Fulham host West Ham in another Premier League London derby this weekend.
The Cottagers went into the international break back on track following their opening day defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Marco Silva’s side have since beaten Leicester and have drawn with Ipswich to get some early points on the board.
The Hammers, meanwhile, lost 3-1 at home to Manchester City before the break but the scoreline perhaps did not tell the whole story. Julen Lopetegui’s side impressed in parts of that game and have won their only London derby this season thus far, beating Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park last month.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
Fulham vs West Ham is scheduled for a 3pm BST kick-off time on Saturday 14 September, 2024.
TV channel and live stream: The game will not be broadcast in the UK as it takes place during the 3pm blackout imposed across English football.
Free highlights: BBC One’s Match of the Day will broadcast highlights when it airs at 10.30pm on Saturday.
The hosts are not thought to have any fresh injury concerns at this stage.
West Ham, meanwhile, will hope to have Alphonse Areola available for the game after the goalkeeper was forced off against City. Aaron Cresswell is unlikely to feature due to a hamstring problem.
Niclas Fullkrug picked up a knock over the international break and will miss the game.
