Gabriel has joined the list of Arsenal players to withdraw from international duty.

The Brazil defender is suffering with a knee issue and will not link up with the national squad for the upcoming internationals games.

 “Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães is out of the friendlies against France and Croatia,” the Brazil national team said in a statement.

“After the game this Sunday against Manchester City, for the final of the English League Cup, the athlete complained of pain in his right knee.

“Imaging tests have confirmed that Gabriel Magalhães is not fit to play in the matches during this FIFA international break – no other player will be called up to replace him.”

He follows fellow Arsenal defender William Saliba in withdrawing from international duty, with the Frenchman struggling with an ankle injury.

Ebere Eze will also not play for England after missing the Carabao Cup final with a calf problem.

Meanwhile, Belgium have said that Leandro Trossard will not link up with the squad either.

And Jurrien Timber will also miss out for the Netherlands have remained sidelined for the Carabao Cup final.
