Liverpool will lock horns with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium this Saturday as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds managed to earn an impressive 3-0 win away at Olympique Marseille recently, so they would be keen on keeping their good form going this weekend.

Arne Slot will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation once again and could make a couple of changes to his first XI for this game. Both Cody Gakpo and Curtis Jones are expected to play from the start of this clash.

Defence

Alisson Becker will operate in between the sticks for the Merseyside club after he kept a clean sheet in his last outing. Joe Gomez will play alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they hope to keep a solid shape when defending inside their half.

Jeremie Frimpong will continue to play as the right-back, while Milos Kerkez looks to put in a solid performance on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.

Andy Robertson will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Curtis Jones will anchor the midfield along with Ryan Gravebnerch as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and engineering some decent chances in the final third.

The talented trio of Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai will play just ahead of them as part of Liverpool’s attack. All three of them need to link up with each other well in the final third if the Reds want to create enough chances to win this contest.

Mohamed Salah and Alexis Mac Allister will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Hugo Ekitike will lead the charge for the Merseyside club up top. He has to find a way to threaten the opponent’s goal after failing to score in midweek.

Federico Chiesa will miss this game because of injury. However, Rio Ngumoha will make up the numbers on the bench.
