Gakpo Gets 7.5, Konate With 7 | Liverpool Players Rated In Disappointing Loss Vs Manchester United

Liverpool welcomed Manchester United at Anfield earlier this evening as they secured a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the second minute when Bryan Mbeumo found the back of the net. Arne Slot’s men failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Cody Gakpo equalised for the Merseyside club in the 78th minute. However, Harry Maguire scored the winning goal just six minutes later. The contest ended with Liverpool suffering a disappointing 2-1 loss in front of their home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the clash against the Red Devils.
He made a couple of good saves at the back but conceded twice this evening.
RB: Conor Bradley – 6/10
Bradley failed to impress at both ends of the field and was replaced in the 61st minute.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 7/10
He made a lot of important clearances inside his half and was good on the ball.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 7/10
Van Dijk dealt with the danger when he could, but lacked quality going forward.

LB: Milos Kerkez – 6/10
He failed to prove his worth defensively and struggled to catch the eye in the opponent’s half.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 6.5/10
Gravenberch performed his defensive duties well but failed to make an impact going forward.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 6/10
He took quite a few knocks and lacked quality on the ball.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 6.5/10
Salah created some decent chances in the final third but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
CAM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 7/10
He worked hard and created a couple of decent chances in the final third.
LW: Cody Gakpo – 7.5/10
Gakpo was a constant threat on the left flank. He scored the equaliser and was unfortunate to hit the post twice during the game.
ST: Alexander Isak – 6/10
He was quiet for most of his time on the field and was substituted in the 71st minute.
ST: Hugo Ekitike – 7/10
He was a threat in the final third.
CAM: Florian Wirtz – 6.5/10
Wirtz made a few key chances for others around him.
CM: Curtis Jones – 6.5/10
