Galatasaray have laid eyes on both Gleison Bremer and Rafael Leao and could soon start dueling with their rivals, Fenerbahce, to capture the outgoing Milan star, who’s warming up on the destination.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former are tempting the Brazilian defender with a large contract, €8M net, a couple more per year than he’s making in Turin. The Bianconeri believed he had no appetite to go to Turkey, but he’s at least entertaining the possibility. He has a €58M release clause that’s valid until mid-August. The Old Lady demands around €50M.
For now, there’s been no direct talks between Juventus and Galatasaray for Bremer, while Leao is currently vacationing in Istanbul, fueling the hopes of his suitors. According to Sportitalia, both are willing to tender €8/10M annual wages.
The Cimbom is probing an initial loan with an option to buy. Instead, Fenerbahce are keen on offering a permanent transfer . Milan and the star are collaborating on a somewhat amicable exit. His price tag is €50/60M. The talks have been preliminary at best so far.
At some point, Juventus might get desperate to make a big sale for financial reasons, but it’s still relatively early. They have a few more candidates who are a lot easier to replace. They seem to be operating under the assumption that they need to find a better partner for their star rather than a substitute.
Instead, it’d be surprising if the Portuguese forward stayed. If no English or Spanish team pursues him in the coming weeks, Turkey and Saudi Arabia would gain serious steam.
