Galatasaray are preparing a loan offer for Benfica forward Franjo Ivanovic with a 12 million euro purchase option, plus a further 5 million euros in add-ons, according to Glorioso 1904.

The Istanbul club are seeking extra firepower, with Mauro Icardi now on the market. The champions of Türkiye have Ivanovic back on their radar as they line up an opening proposal to Benfica.

Benfica are unlikely to be persuaded, with Rui Costa’s hierarchy preferring a permanent sale or a loan that includes an obligation to buy. The club paid 22.8 million euros for Ivanovic last summer.

Galatasaray are not alone, with Hull City and Como tracking the situation. Other European sides have held exploratory talks to understand Benfica’s conditions.

Ivanovic made 42 appearances last season, scoring eight times and providing two assists in all competitions.
